2015 Red Ribbon Campaign
The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities and Governor Nathan Deal presented Hambrick Elementary School with the 2015 Governor's Red Ribbon Campaign plaque.  Our school was selected by the Red Ribbon awards judging committee as a finalist in the 2015 competition.

Special Olympics Competition
Our students competed in the Special Olympics on Wednesday, March 29, 2016 at North DeKalb Stadium.  Click here for more photos. 
Recognized Student

Karina Del Cid Flores, a 4th grader taught by Ms. Lampert and Mrs. Gayle at Hambrick Elementary School, was a winner of the DeKalb Reading Council award. Her essay, "What America Means To My Education," was nominated for the state's Lindy Lopez-Butner Award. This award is given to second language learners who have been influenced by reading. The photographs show her being honored at the annual Georgia Reader of the Year Awards ceremony in Byron, GA.  Karina will be honored later this year in a special ceremony for DeKalb County School Disctrict winners.
